1. Coverage of university activities in audio and print media (radio, television, newspapers, and news outlets).
2. Publication of a monthly newsletter distributed within and outside the university via the internet.
3. Publication of the university's electronic news in cooperation with the Digital Content Department of the University's Technology and Network Administration.
4. Publication of a bi-weekly page in the daily Al-Ra'i Al-Aam newspaper.
Organizing radio and television programs and interviews with university officials, including the director, assistant directors, professors, and deans, according to the field and topic under discussion.
6. The Director of the Media and Public Relations Department prepares media coverage for conferences organized by the university.
7. Participating in organizing seminars and workshops organized by various university departments and divisions.
8. Serving as a member of all university councils and several of them (Professors' Council, Deans' Council, etc.).
The Director of the Media and Public Relations Department oversees faculty affairs, university radio broadcasting, and scientific conferences organized by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Department.

The Media and Public Relations Department is the link between the university and other universities.
10. The Director of the Media Department is the official spokesperson for the university to the media.
11. The Media Department organizes and arranges press and media meetings at the university level on various topics that contribute to the university's success.
12. The department prepares informational brochures and pamphlets specific to the university in cooperation with the Secretariat of Academic Affairs and the University Press.
13. The department participates in preparing official statements issued by the university administration.
14. Supervising the photography and documentation work required by external parties within the university.
15. Preparing documentary and critical reports on the university on a regular basis and keeping abreast of new developments.
16. Maintaining a comprehensive photographic and documentary file about the university, its various departments and administrative units, in addition to its diverse scientific activities.
Furthermore, the university's mechanisms, institutes, and centers, whether cultural or social, should be documented regarding activities of a political nature, such as research on national issues (Political Science – Institute for Peace Research – Institute of African and Asian Studies – Institute of Professor Abdullah Al-Tayeb – and other related fields).
