The university's ability to achieve its goals and mission in building society depends solely on its contribution to fulfilling its various functions, which can be summarized in three main roles: transmitting knowledge through education, producing knowledge through scientific research, and shaping society through its outputs. We find that each function represents an independent effort, separate from the others. This contrasts with the concept of a university isolated from the concept of society, which is essential for societal development.
